Summer Frame Bags
Full Size Frame Bags
Custom Frame Bags - This style of bag is made to fill the empty space on the front triangle of your bike. These bags handle heavy loads extremely well, carrying the load low and centred between the wheels. I make these bags one by one to fit your exact bike frame and any special requests you may have. Bags like these are practically mandatory for snow biking races and expeditions to keep the heavy gear low and centered over the wheels. Also excellent for ultra light touring when trying to eliminate racks and panniers.
Dual Compartments:
Internal dividers are removable. There is also a small mesh pocket along the down tube perfect for keeping keys or a multi-tool.
The winter specific bags have a front taper near the head tube to increase the volume up front while still avoiding any leg rub against the side of the bag. This is ideal for winter cycling on snow when you are mostly spinning and not standing up much on the pedals.
Dual compartment bags are available on any size frame, the main horizontal divider is removable. If you like to be organized, this is the ticket.

Grommets to run Cages inside are some of custom options:
This frame bag features a main compartment sized for a laptop. Padded with closed cell foam and includes internal straps for the laptop. Seperate bottom compartment, front compartment and additional pockets included.

Frame bags are designed to be used with our gas tank , follow the link for more information.
Materials:
I use 500 denier spectra powergrid for the main body of the bags. This material is super stout, the spectra fibers give new meaning to the term "ripstop".
I also use 1000 & 500 denier cordura, beefy #8 YKK coil zippers, super strong V92 upholstery thread and little things that make a difference like reflective webbing and zipper pulls.
Options include:
Custom Colors and fabric choices
Custom pocket arrangements
Dual side zippers,
Multiple compartments sized to fit specific pieces of gear.
Prices:

The Gas Tank
The Gas Tank is a top tube mounted dual zip panel opening bag for your quick to access goodies. Food (thus the fuel tank..), a GPS, cameras, pizza.. you name it. The double zip panel opening design allows easy access to the contents. Gas tanks were used extensively during the 2008 Susitna 100 and Alaska Ultra Sport races.
Two standard sizes are available - a larger tapered size which matches the wider taper of our winter frame bags, and a shorter non-tapered size for more technical riding and summer endurance missions. Closed cell foam stiffens up the bag and adds padding to the top tube along with a bit of thermal protection.
Either size is available in Spectra Gridstop or Black Cordura.
The wider size:

The small tank is 2 1/2" shorter than the larger tank and does not have the wide taper. It is designed to integrate with our summer frame bags.

Also available with side pockets for carrying Gu's and gel flasks:

Once you use one, you will wonder how you ever ate while cycling without one!
Base price $50
Custom sizes and options available on request. For example this case has foam padding on the bottom and is lined with synthetic insulation for a video camera's 1,100 mile winter voyage on the iditarod trail.

Seat Bags
Our seat bags are carefully engineered with an array of quality materials, from tough as nails rubberized Hapalon, to medium weight cordura to silicone coated ripstop nylon. These materials combined with an inovative, fully bottom suspended design, gives a seat bag that you wount even notice when riding. Their tapered shape and snug fit around the seat post area prevent any leg rubbing.
Two sizes are available, A standard size and the huge Super Twinkie.
The standard size, perfect for summer enduro thrashings. Holds quite a bit of gear taking bulky clothing and food off your camelback.

The roll down opening with a 3M reflective strip allows the bag to easily change volume.
The standard size seat bag is also available in a Thudbuster suspension seatpost compatiable design. It is the only large capacity seat bag available for use with a linkage suspension seatpost.

The Super Twinkie seat bag
The Super Twinkie re-defines what is known as the seat bag.
Winter racing inspired - Designed to be the largest seat bag possible. Gobbles up bulky warm clothes no problem. Can easily hold a summer sleeping bag and extra clothing.
Four compression straps attach the bag to the seat rails while a ruberized velcro attachment system keep things snug and slip free around the seatpost.
Silicone coated nylon roll down closure, Cordora and spectra gridstop fabric, Tough Hapalon reinforcements, optional bottom straps, Large top pocket, gravity defying and built for abuse.

The bag is designed to carry food close to the bike and lighter, bulky items like clothing towards the back. It is intended for non-technical riding, endurance winter races and touring.
Approximate volume: 1200-1400 cubic inches (20L)
As a special order, the Super Twinkie can be made as a hydration compatiable backpack, ideal for international touring, and bike approach hiking / trail running. The removable shoulder straps and padded mesh back panel are hidden by a quickly removable cover:

Ordering, Shipping & Custom Work

Frame bag patterns:
The easiest and simplest way for me to make a frame bag for a specific frame that I do not already have a pattern for, is for you to mail me a pattern of your frame. The easiest way to do this is to take a piece of poster board, or any other big piece of paper (the white back of an old poster works great) and draw out the inside triangle of your bike as accurately as possible. When doing so please mark the location of cable stops and the front derailleur. Then fold the pattern up and mail it to me at the address listed below.
I can work off dimensions, but unless you have exact angles, is much more time consuming and not as accurate.
If you have an Autocad drawing (.dwg) of your frame from a custom frame builder I can use that also.
Payment & shipping:
I accept personal checks and Paypal for payment. Full payment is required before Shipping.
We Ship internationally! Countries served so far include, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Italy, U.K., Canada and Mexico!
Domestic Shipping costs on most items are a flat rate $5 using priority mail which is about 3 day service to most states from Alaska. For larger items I use a flat rate box for $10, I will give you a shipping quote whith your order.
